Hyatt Hive

The ultimate 12 frame WSP depth hive with screened slatted baseboard and sandwich style lid.  Designed by a Queensland beekeeper with 65 years experience.  A square box is easier to carry.  The WSP depth means it is lighter and easier to manage on a honey flow.  A double brood box on a screened bottom board and capped with a sandwich lid completes the basic Hyatt Hive.  Tiffany Blue is our preferred colour following an extensive hive colour trial in 1975 at Gatton Agricultural College - University of Queensland.
